Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Mustered in a large mob of approx. 1000 head to a relatively small set of portables in a congested environment yet very well and expertly handled with very good stockmanship the heifers flowed through the race and crush very well. A very small number could potentially become agitated if they were to be isolated. Heifers settled well when returned to the mob. Cattle were turned out directly after assessment with bikes and left the yard quietly.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a great opportunity to purchase a very good quality line of ORGANIC USDA, NOP and GAP certified heifers that will suit organic producers to bump up breeder numbers. Large lines of 1 brand heifers of this quality do not present all that often so if you are an organic producer please consider these. These heifers presented in mainly forward store condition and demonstrated plenty of breed character and maternal traits. We are receiving very positive feedback from major feedlots in relation to the performance of the steer portion on grain. Very quiet to handle when being yarded and also on exit from the yards. Note there are 825 head from Terrick in this sale in 9 B-Double loads, all 1 brand. In this run there are two lots of 82 head (164) & if purchased by multiple buyers will be delivered into two even lots. It must be noted the photos and videos of the Santa heifers are of both the heavy and light lines that could not be separated at assessment due to insufficient yard space.
